COMPUTER BIBLE GAMES  WITH VISUAL C# <Table of Contents> is a self-paced semester long self-study  “beginning” programming tutorial consisting of 13 Chapters explaining (in simple, easy-to-follow terms) how to build a Visual C#  Windows applications and games. Students learn about project design, the Visual C# toolbox, and many elements of the Visual C# language.  Numerous examples are used to demonstrate every step in the building process. The tutorial also includes several detailed computer projects for students to build and try.

The projects built include a number guessing game, a card game, an allowance calculator, a drawing program, a state capitals game, video games, and three classic Computer Bible Games. The Computer Bible Games include:

Noah’s Ark – Race the turtle to Noah’s Ark before the Great Flood starts Elijah and the Ravens – Move Elijah to catch the falling bread as he is fed by the Ravens Daniel and the Lions – Shoot Prayers at the Lions to protect Daniel in the Lions Den.

COMPUTER BIBLE GAMES WITH VISUAL C# is presented using a combination of over 700 color pages of course notes and actual Visual C# examples. No prior programming experience is necessary, but familiarity with doing common tasks using Microsoft Windows is expected. What Others Are Saying About our Tutorials

“I successfully taught my 8th Grade grandson how to program in C# using the “Computer Bible Games with Visual C#” tutorial.  I am a retired software engineer who is well versed in C# and I wanted to use it to get my grandson exposed to programming.  When I told him about the book he got excited about being able to write and play games. Using this book was a wonderful experience for me as a teacher. He was able to proceed at his own pace with very little guidance needed from me. The book is a really  great resource for someone wanting to learn the C# language on their own.  My grandson said that he got some real life lessons out of it as well. I think this came from his learning to think in the structured manner programming requires. By the end of the school year he felt he had obtained a very good grasp of the fundamentals of C# and that the book had made it really easy. We both highly recommend this book for those wanting to learn C# in a fun game orientated setting!”

“I think Computer Bible Games with Visual C#  is great for the homeschool parent.  It does not require the parent to know the language themselves.  I like the fact that the games are based on Bible stories.  It also provides them the tools and examples they need so they don’t have to make up programs themselves.  The students have enjoyed it and were pretty successful in learning the fundamentals of the Visual C# language.“

“The exercises and explanations in the Computer Bible Games with Visual C# textbook were excellent and provided my son with a good well-grounded beginning and appreciation of computer software programming.  He quickly went through each chapter and was quickly making his own modifications to the programs, as well as designing his own programs from scratch.   I would not hesitate to recommend this as a beginning curriculum to anyone, especially homeschoolers.”

“What I like as a parent (and a programmer) is that the content is kid friendly and easy understand and follow.  I also liked that you provide examples and lots of screenshots.  I also really like the ‘Review and Preview’ at the beginning of each chapter.  The entire book is constructed in a way that is very conducive to the learning process. Love the books ~ keep up the great work!”

Third Day Games would be thrilled if every child who played our video games would learn how to develop Bible-based Christian video games themselves. BibleByte Books produces a wonderful Computer Science For Kids Curriculum that we believe will help train up the next generation of Christian game developers. The games industry desperately needs talented game developers, who are also Christians, to help build the next generation of Bible-based Christian video games. Learning a computer programming language early in life will give your child a great head start in the wonderful field ofcomputer programming and give them the opportunity to use their skills to further the Kingdom.”
